First off I want to start out by saying I have a 2015 model FZ-09 and there was no cutting required for me, seems that Yamaha changed the underbelly in the two years there. So the installation was a bit of a challenge and I actually had to take the tail light apart in order to get it to fit, but once I was able to get it to fit (took about an hour of fiddling) the wiring process was pretty easy. It's important to have a multimeter to determine what is the running light wire and what's the brake light wire on the stock side of the bike, but the wire up was a piece of cake, and the final product is out of this world. I wouldn't suggest getting any other integrated light, this one is the best. Thanks guys!
